Prior to starting Jesse W. White & Associates, LLC., Mr. White has been consulting in Career and Technical Education (CTE) and was CTE Director for Hampton City Schools, VA. He combines experience as a business owner with Lean and Six Sigma experience and expertise with STEM Education, career academies, Quality, workforce readiness, organizational change processes.
White has led teams of stakeholders to create project charters and strategic plans for three Virginia Governor’s academies, implemented career pathways, developed middle school technology and business programs, and two middle school STEM programs. He is a Technology and Engineering Teacher and a Distinguished Technology Educator (DTE). Serving public schools in Career and Technical Education public policy, Mr. White was Vice President for Public Policy of the Virginia ACTE, Past-President of VTEEA and Government Relations Committee Chair, and previous board member of the Virginia Children’s Engineering Council. He was Co-PI on the NSF grant “Hampton Roads Partnership in Algebra” (HR-PALS), has written articles and presented on a variety of subjects such as improving assessment, legislative advocacy, new technologies, and he has developed national curriculum and test item banks.
Completing doctoral work, he has expertise in Human Performance Technology and HRD. He has a BSE in Education in Industrial Technology, M.Ed. in Vocational Curriculum Design, and Ed.S. in Vocational and Adult Education Administration and has directed and consulted in business and social services agencies. He has completed doctoral coursework and requirements and is ABD (all but dissertation) in Human Resource Development with a specialty area in Human Performance Technology.
Mr. White has many awards for service and leadership and is certified in AutoCAD, Vocational Rehabilitation Management, OSHA, and Advanced Lean and Six Sigma.
